Webinar Description and Intended Audience

Have you ever noticed sometimes when the IRA Guru leaves the financial institution it is without notice or training for a replacement??!! On the first day of training, you feel like someone placed you on a crazy merry-go-round and you can’t jump off. In other words, you have NO IDEA where to go or what they are talking about. Everything just sounds foreign to you. It’s true. IRAs are a different world from the other accounts at your bank. Oh, they may look similar, but the rules, regulations and IRS reporting build the complications to the point where you feel like you are on falling off of a cliff!! And, just when you finally find your footing, they change the rules again!

Covered Topics

  • Review of top terminology of IRAs
  • Basic Forms Required To Open, Close, Move and Maintain IRAs (have your own IRA forms – including application, contribution and distribution forms – available during the webinar)
  • Qualifications, New Contribution Limits and Deadlines for:
  • Traditional IRAs
  • Regular Roth and Conversion Roth (IRS codes and reporting)
  • Simplified Employee Pension Plan – SEP IRA
  • You are encouraged to have a sample of the IRA forms your financial institution is currently using for your review during the session including: IRA Application, IRA Contribution forms, Distribution Forms and Rollover Review/Certification Forms. 

Who Should Attend?

New Account Representatives, Certificate of Deposit Personnel, Savings Counselors, Member Service Representatives or anyone who is newly involved in the opening, selling, marketing, or administration of IRAs. Any supervisor/manager who “oversees” the IRA department and may be responsible for answering IRA member’s questions or concerns but does not actually open IRA accounts. Experienced IRA trainers or personnel who like a review of the basics and forms.

Continuing Education (CE) Credits

This webinar is recommended for 2.5 CE Credit Hours. Each attendee will receive a Certificate of Attendance for self-reporting of CE Credits.

LIVE WEBINAR:

INCLUDES SEVEN DAYS OF ONDEMAND PLAYBACK!  With this option, you will participate in the webinar (via the internet) as it is being presented. You will login to the webinar on your PC to view the PowerPoint presentation, and you have the option of using your PC speakers or a telephone for the audio. You can type and send your questions to the instructor during the webinar. Many companies are now running their PC through an LCD projector allowing many employees to participate at the same time.

SIX MONTH ONDEMAND VIDEO:

With this option, you will receive an e-mail that contains a link to the PowerPoint slides (to download, print, and copy) as well as a link to the media player where you will view and hear the entire webinar just as it was delivered, featuring the full-color PowerPoint presentation with audio. You can pause, fast-forward and rewind as needed, which makes it an effective training tool. The OnDemand Video will be available to you (and anyone else in the company) for six months and can be accessed 24/7 as many times as you wish. Delivered via e-mail the day after the webinar takes place.

CD-ROM VIDEO:

If you do not have internet access or want to make the webinar part of your training library, the CD-ROM Recording is a great option for viewing a webinar. You can pause, fast-forward and rewind as needed, which makes it an effective training tool. With this option, you will receive a download of the PowerPoint slides and a CD-ROM Recording (featuring PowerPoint presentation with audio) of the webinar via regular mail. Mailed 7 to 10 days after the webinar takes place.
