Consumer Lending: Accelerated Workshop
In this comprehensive overview of the consumer lending business, participants learn the essentials about closed-end loans, indirect loans and related credit products, and open-end credit products. They also trace the consumer lending process from developing and taking loan applications to collection and recovery. After successfully completing the consumer lending course, you will be able to: describe key laws or regulations affecting consumer lending; list characteristics, benefits, and disadvantages of direct lending, indirect lending, and open-end credit products; explain how effective marketing can increase loans outstanding and application volume; describe consumer loan information sources and the credit verification process; explain how the five C’s of credit are used in credit evaluation and decision making. Textbook chapter topics include:

1.00 CFT will be awarded after completion of this workshop.
3.00 Credit Option:
After attending this two-day workshop, you can “Test Out” and earn 3.00 credits for the Consumer Lending course! This course is a requirement for six (6) of the diplomas and certificates currently offered by the Center for Financial Training. RUSSELL BLASCHKO is currently Vice President & Mortgage Originator with First National Bank Minnesota in Mankato, MN. He has been in banking for 40 years and his banking experience includes: Teller, Installment Lending, Collections, Real Estate Loan Officer, Insurance Agent, Real Estate Agent, Tax Return Preparer, Mortgage Lending, and Branch Manager. In his early years, Russ was involved in AIB as a board member & instructor. Russ graduated from St. Cloud State University with a BS degree in Business Finance & Real Estate.
